The 1697 Grimaldi is a large instrument of the type intended
to accompany ensembles. Its extended range makes it extremely
versatile for both continuo and solo playing. It is of traditional
Italian construction; an elegant cypress harpsichord in a painted
outer case from which it can be removed.
